Florida A&M beats Warner Southern 82-79

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Amin Stevens scored 21 points and had seven rebounds to lead Florida A&M over Warner Southern 82-79 on Saturday night.

The Rattlers (4-5) led 40-37 at halftime and held on for the 3-point victory over the NAIA school in the second half.

The Royals (4-4) shot 30 for 66 from the field (45.5 percent) and outrebounded Florida A&M 39-37, but the Rattlers were 29 of 63 from the floor (46 percent) and had five players score in double figures.

Rasheem Jenkins and Avery Moore scored 11 points each and Yannick Crowder and Reggie Lewis added 10 apiece for Florida A&M.

Warner Southern also had five players reach double figures. Ian Wilhelm scored 22 points, Adam Branch had 18, Brennan Taylor 14, Allan Keen 13 and Malcolm Campbell 10.

Branch, Campbell and Taylor each had six rebounds as well.
