Parents of children who have died lit candles Sunday night to remember their loved ones. About 75 people attended Vancouver’s ceremony at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, part of The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting.

The remembrance ceremony began in 1997. Kathy Deschner and Lorna Bradford organized the Vancouver service. Parents heard from the Rev. Grethe Barber, Grief Share group leader Barbara Waite and music minister Steve Hotra.

Jennifer Walter played the harp as the names of 103 children were read.
