Northwestern State beats Missouri Valley 79-64

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — William Mosley scored a career-high 17 points and Northwestern State defeated Missouri Valley 79-64 on Wednesday night.

The Demons (7-3) scored 28 points off of 26 turnovers and shot 45.3 percent (29 of 64) in their fourth straight win.

Northwestern trailed 25-24 with 5:28 left until halftime, and outscored the Vikings 14-6 the rest of the half to lead 38-31 on James Hulbin’s free throw with 23 seconds left.

Midway through the second half the Demons scored 11 straight to lead 55-41 on Mosley’s free throw with 12:32 to play. Northwestern stretched its lead to 70-44 with 5:41 to go.

James Hulbin scored 11 points and had 13 rebounds for the Demons, who improved to 6-0 at home.

Chris Holman led the NAIA Vikings, who counted the game as an exhibition, with 31 points. Cooper Trumbo and Bryan Corley chipped in 10 points each for Missouri Valley.
