LA CLUSAZ, France (AP) — Switzerland held off Russia and Norway to win a 4×10-kilometer men’s cross-country World Cup relay on Sunday.
The Swiss team of Toni Livers, Dario Cologna, Remo Fischer and Curdin Perl won in a combined time of 1 hour, 42 minutes and 14.6 seconds, while the Russian quartet clocked 1:42:45.4. The Norwegians were another 3 seconds behind.
Russia’s team included Maxim Vylegzhanin and Alexander Legkov, who were first and third in Saturday’s 30-kilometer freestyle mass start race in the same French resort.
Norway’s women won the 4×5-kilometer relay in 58:38.7, nearly a full minute ahead of second-place Italy. Sweden was third in 1:00:02.8.
