IRVING, Texas (AP) — Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been placed on season-ending injured reserve.

The team announced the move Tuesday. Romo broke his left collarbone Oct. 25 and hasn’t played since.

The Cowboys play Saturday night at Arizona and will likely start Jon Kitna, who has gone 4-4 in place of Romo. Dallas has only have two games left and can’t make the playoffs.

Owner Jerry Jones had hoped Romo could return from the broken bone on his non-throwing side.
