COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith will hold a news conference to address “NCAA rule violations.”

WBNS-TV and The Columbus Dispatch, both citing unidentified sources, reported on their websites Wednesday night that the school was looking into possible NCAA violations related to allegations of several Buckeyes players trading autographs for tattoos.

No. 6 Ohio State plays No. 8 Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 4.

Smith is schedule to meet with reporters at noon ET.
