South Dakota overcomes Loyola Marymount 82-70

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Louie Krogman scored 21 points to boost South Dakota to an 82-70 victory over Loyola Marymount on Wednesday night.

The Coyotes (6-7) were down 39-32 at halftime after shooting just 33.3 percent from the field in the first period.

But they charged back in the second half, shooting 53.3 percent and leading by as many as 14 points in the final minute.

Drew Viney scored 16 points to lead four players in double digits for the Lions (6-7).

Vernon Teel pitched in with 14 points and 10 rebounds for Loyola Marymount while Larry Davis added 12 points and Anthony Ireland scored 10.

Jake Thomas helped the Coyotes with 18 points, including shooting 8 for 10 from the free throw line, while Steve Tecker added 15 points.
