DENVER (AP) — Colorado Avalanche forward Milan Hejduk will return to the lineup Monday night against the Detroit Red Wings after missing seven games with a groin injury.
Hejduk remains one of the team’s leading scorers with 11 goals and 20 assists. He will be paired with Matt Duchene, who leads the squad in scoring with 34 points.
The Avs also will have forward Cody McLeod back after sitting out three games with a groin injury. McLeod brings a physical presence to the ice. He will play on the fourth line with Philippe Dupuis.
Colorado coach Joe Sacco said Jonas Holos, Brandon Yip and David Koci would be healthy scratches.
