ST. LOUIS (AP) — Tight end Mike Hoomanawanui is expected to practice on a limited basis Wednesday as the St. Louis Rams attempt to get the rookie receiving threat ready for this week’s game at Seattle for the NFC West title.

Hoomanawanui has missed the last four games with a high right ankle sprain. He also missed four games with a high left ankle sprain at the start of the season.

He has 13 receptions for an 11.2-yard average and three touchdowns.

Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday that Hoomanawanui would probably work initially with trainer Reggie Scott. Hoomanawanui had a setback after practicing early last week.

Rookie cornerback Jerome Murphy broke his left pinky finger but anticipates playing against the Seahawks.
