ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been held out of practice to rest an assortment of aches and pains, but is expected to play in the team’s season finale at the New York Jets on Sunday.

Coach Chan Gailey says he wanted to give Fitzpatrick a day off. He anticipates the quarterback will return to practice Thursday.

Fitzpatrick was walking with a slight limp on Wednesday, favoring his right leg. He’s not missed a snap since taking over as starter in Week 3. He’s provided the offense a semblance of identity despite the team’s 4-11 record.

Fitzpatrick is coming off his worst game of the year. He threw three interceptions and lost two fumbles in a 34-3 loss to New England on Sunday.
