ST. LOUIS (AP) — Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was injured in the first period against the St. Louis Blues and won’t return to the game.

It isn’t clear exactly when Toews was hurt Tuesday night. The Blackhawks say Toews has an undisclosed upper body injury.

Toews had two shots and played nearly six minutes. He is Chicago’s second-leading scorer with 33 points — including 15 goals.
