BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Canadian forward Jaden Schwartz will miss the rest of the World Junior Hockey Championship tournament because of an ankle injury.

Schwartz was hurt in a 7-2 win over the Czech Republic on Tuesday. He had a goal and two assists in two tournament games.

Schwartz plays for Colorado College and was selected 14th overall by St. Louis in the NHL draft in June.

Canada is 3-0 and closes the preliminary round against Sweden on Friday. A win would give the Canadians the top spot in Group B and an automatic berth in the semifinals Monday.
