WEATHERBY, Ore. (AP) — A train running along Interstate 84 in Eastern Oregon derailed, and authorities shut down the highway between Baker City and Ontario for a few hours.

No injuries and threat to health was reported.

The freight cars were westbound near Weatherby, between the two cities, when they derailed about noon Friday.

Nearly four hours later, authorities said they reopened the interstate in both directions.

The cars that derailed were open-top gondola cars that a Union Pacific spokesman says usually carry rock, gravel and cement.
