PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old man.

Detective Mary Wheat, the bureau spokeswoman, says an officer discovered the body on the ground Sunday after being flagged down by a resident in northeast Portland.

A medical examiner on Monday ruled Marcus John Chambery’s death a homicide.

Chambery had been living in the Portland area, but his last known address has yet to be determined.
