Taxi driver murder trial opens in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — The murder case of a man accused of stabbing a cab driver to death headed to trial Wednesday in Tacoma.

Thirty-two-year-old Jaycee Fuller is accused of killing King Cab driver Mohamud Ahmed in March of 2009 in Tacoma during a robbery.

Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist is prosecuting the case. It was assigned to him when he was chief criminal deputy. He was appointed Pierce County prosecutor in September.
