BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — A driver that took the wrong ramp into oncoming traffic on Interstate 90 at Bellevue didn’t get far.

His car struck a truck that was picking up barrels about 2 a.m. Wednesday at a road construction project.

KIRO-TV reports rescuers had to cut the top off the car to pull out the driver. He’s been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Washington State Patrol Trooper J.P. McAuliffe says the man said, “I think I had too much to drink.”
