TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — One person died and another was injured in a fire early Sunday in south Tacoma.

Fire department spokesman Joe Meinecke says that when crews arrived they found a trailer engulfed in flames and that the fire had spread to an adjacent home. He says a body was found inside the home, along with another person who was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Further information about the victims was not immediately available.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and its cause has not been determined. But Meinecke tells KOMO-TV that it appears suspicious and is being investigated by police and fire officials.
