TRI-CITIES, Wash. (AP) — The National Park Service excluded Hanford’s B reactor from plans for a Manhattan Project national historical park, but the decision is not final.
KONA reports options for the reactor will be considered at a Jan. 21 Park Service meeting in Richland.
The B reactor produced the explosive for the bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan, to end World War II.
