EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Police say the fire that destroyed a waterfront restaurant on Everett’s Silver Lake was probably arson.

Sgt. Robert Goetz told The Daily Herald that detectives have evidence the fire on Nov. 9 at Emory’s restaurant was set. The loss was estimated at $2 million and put 50 employees out of work.

Emory’s opened in 1994 on the site of the former Silver Beach Resort that dated back to the 1930s.
