MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Police say a 27-year-old University of Idaho student appears to have died from alcohol poisoning and drug use.
No foul play is suspected.
According to Moscow police news release, emergency personnel responded to a report of an unconscious female at 11:22 a.m. Monday at a residence in Moscow. They found the body of Shannon Marlowe of Rexburg, a senior in the Martin Institute of International Studies at the university.
The Lewistown Tribune reports that the preliminary investigation indicated Marlowe died of “a respiratory arrest caused by alcohol poisoning and drugs.”
Police say the drugs used were thought to be prescription and over the counter.
The exact cause of death will be determined by toxicology analysis.
