KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — An autopsy shows that a 19-year-old who was fatally injured by a freight train near Kennewick was not killed by the impact.

KNDO-KNDU reports that Tyler Bies of Finley suffered an amputated left foot and bled to death.

The coroner says alcohol and the cold weather on the night of Dec. 15 contributed to the accidental death.
