Suspect arrested in knife attack in Dallas

DALLAS, Ore. (AP) — Polk County sheriff’s deputies say they’ve arrested a man wanted in a near-fatal knife attack.

Jared Spencer was found and arrested Sunday morning. Authorities say the 22-year-old broke into a Dallas home early Saturday morning and stabbed 19-year-old Jake Michaelson, who was taken to Salem Hospital in critical condition.

Spencer was being held in the Polk County Jail for investigation of charges including attempted murder, assault and burglary.
