SEATTLE (AP) — Forecasters expect the warmest temperatures since last summer across Washington through the rest of the week.

The National Weather Service says a combination of high pressure and winds from the east will push the Western Washington highs to near 90 degrees and the Eastern Washington highs into the upper 90s.

Forecasters say Thursday will likely be the hottest day, and it will remain hot through the weekend. They expect temperatures to return to normal by early next week.
