BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — Former champion Alize Cornet of France ousted third-seeded Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland 6-0, 6-4 Thursday in the second round of the Budapest Grand Prix.

In the quarterfinals, she’ll meet defending champion Agnes Szavay of Hungary, who defeated Yvonne Meusburger of Austria 7-5, 6-3.

In another upset, Zuzana Ondraskova of the Czech Republic defeated sixth-seeded Roberta Vinci of Italy 6-4, 6-0.

Second-seeded Alexandra Dulgheru of Romania stopped Anna Chakvetadze of Russia 7-6 (5), 1-6, 6-2 in a match that had been suspended after two sets on Wednesday because of darkness.

“I didn’t have enough energy, I was out of breath, I couldn’t run anymore, so I was lucky the match was suspended,” Dulgheru said.
