NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) — Fifth-seed Mardy Fish has defeated Frank Dancevic of Canada 6-7 (6) 6-4, 6-4 Friday to reach semifinals at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.

Fish, the highest-seeded American remaining in the grass-court tournament, reached his fifth ATP semifinal.

Fish lost in the finals to Sam Querrey at Queen’s Club last month.

Dancevic played just his second tournament of the year after being sidelined by back surgery.

Fish will play the winner of the match between Ryan Harrison and Richard Bloomfield.
