SEASIDE, Ore. (AP) — The woman crowned Miss Coos County will not compete in this weekend’s Miss Oregon Pageant taking place in Seaside.
Pageant officials declined to say why Bebette Solorzano was removed from the competition, but Coos Bay police confirm they cited the 19-year-old on a third-degree theft charge last month at Walmart.
State pageant organizers decided not to replace Solorzano with Coos County’s first runner-up, Kristina Hossley, because she would not have enough time to prepare.
