Hafner leaves with back stiffness

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Cleveland Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner left Saturday night’s game against Tampa Bay because left side upper back stiffness.

Andy Marte pinch hit for Hafner in the fourth. Hafner popped out in his only at-bat, coming in the first.

No other details were immediately available about Hafner’s injury.

The Indians, last in the AL Central, have several key players on the disabled list, including outfielders Grady Sizemore and Shin-Soo Choo and shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera.
