OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Bail was set Monday at $100,000 for a 19-year-old man jailed in Olympia and accused of causing permanent brain damage to his 2-month-old son.

Thurston County prosecutors say Shane Dean Olsen threw his son to the floor last week because he would not stop crying.

The Olympian reports the baby was taken to Mary Bridge children’s hospital in Tacoma in critical condition. Doctors say he cannot breath on his own.
