DALLAS (AP) — The Dallas Mavericks have signed first-round draft pick Dominique Jones, whose rights they bought from the Memphis Grizzlies on draft day.

The Mavericks also announced Tuesday they’ve signed free-agent center Ian Mahinmi, (YAN mah-HEEN’-mee).

Terms weren’t disclosed.

The Grizzlies drafted the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Jones out of South Florida with the 25th overall pick. The guard from Lake Wales, Fla., led the Bulls in scoring each of his three seasons and was the nation’s only college player to average at least 21 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Mahinmi was San Antonio’s first-round draft pick and 28th overall in 2005. The 6-11, 230-pound Frenchman played in 26 games last season, averaging 3.9 points and two rebounds in 6.3 minutes per game, shooting .636 from the field.
