MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A 17-year-old boy who didn’t want a party to end is in juvenile detention.

Medford police say the intoxicated youth was arrested late Sunday after he stabbed a 64-year-old landlord who complained about a noisy party and asked revelers to leave.

Though he suffered stab wounds to his hand, shoulder and head, the landlord wrestled the teen to the ground and held him until police arrived.

The party guest was lodged in the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Home on a charge of second-degree assault.

The landlord was treated at a Medford hospital and released.
