TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals have signed quarterback John Skelton, their fifth-round draft pick, to a four-year contract.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed Wednesday.
The 6-foot-6 Skelton was the 155th overall pick of the April draft. He set school records at Fordham with 9,923 passing yards, 69 touchdown passes, 802 completions and 1,363 attempts in his 43-game career.
To make room on the roster for Skelton, the Cardinals released safety Herana Daze-Jones, who was signed as a free agent on Jan. 21.
