Coast Guard rescues surfer on Ore. coast

YACHATS, Ore. (AP) — A Coast Guard helicopter has hoisted a 45-year-old surfer to safety after the man fell from his board in heavy surf on the Oregon coast.

The Coast Guard says the man was treated for exposure Wednesday by Yachats (YAH-hots) Fire Department personnel. He was not identified.
