Curt Warner has agreed to sell his Vancouver auto dealership, Curt Warner Chevrolet Inc., according to a notification letter to the company’s strategic partners and vendors.

It was not clear Wednesday who purchased the dealership. Warner could not be reached for comment. July 31 will be the last day of business for the dealership, the letter said. Warner has operated the business since 1999 at 1060 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., near Interstate 205.

Curt Warner Chevrolet was not among the approximately 1,000 franchises up for termination in late 2010 due to financial difficulties at Detroit-based General Motors.

Warner, a former Seattle Seahawks star running back, recently acknowledged that the past two years have been extremely challenging for automobile sales as consumers grappled with tightened lending standards and an uncertain job market.
