MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau is still out of the lineup.

Michael Cuddyer was set to bat cleanup and play first in Morneau’s place for Thursday’s game against the Chicago White Sox. Morneau suffered a concussion a week ago in a game at Toronto and hasn’t played since. Blue Jays second baseman John McDonald accidentally kneed Morneau in the head while the slugger tried to break up a double play.

Morneau skipped the All-Star game to rest, but he wasn’t yet ready to play. The 2006 AL MVP started the second half with the third-best batting average in the league at .345 to go with 18 home runs and 56 RBIs.
