Saints sign 4th-round draft pick

METAIRIE, La. (AP) — The New Orleans Saints have signed fourth-round draft pick Al Woods.

The team announcement on Tuesday that the defensive tackle has agreed to a four-year contract. Financial terms were not released.

Woods, a native of Elton, La., who played at LSU, was taken by the Saints with the 123rd overall selection in the draft.

The 6-foot-4, 307-pound lineman started all 13 games as a senior for the Tigers. He had 33 tackles and a sack, two pass defenses and a blocked field goal.

Woods is the first of the Saints’ six 2010 draft choices under contract. The New Orleans roster currently stands at the league-maximum 80 active players.
