Ten La Center teens will compete for the title of Miss Teen La Center this weekend.
The Miss Teen La Center scholarship pageant is at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sternwheeler Park Amphitheater at East Fourth Street and Aspen Avenue. Admission is $3; children younger than 6 years old are admitted free.
The participants will compete in four mandatory categories — personal interview, casual wear, evening wear and onstage question — and can also compete in two optional categories, photogenic and talent.
This year’s contestants are: Ashley Fleck, 16; Paige Turk, 14; Makayla Chord, 14; Kelsey Morrison, 17; Jessica Carder, 13; Holly Hines, 14; Emily Peters, 13; Mayra Albarran, 15; Hanna Golliher, 13; Katie Hebdon, 14.
The pageant winner will receive $1,000.
