MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — Firefighters in Marysville, Washington, quickly put out a two-alarm fire at a vacant sawmill.

Marysville Assistant Fire Chief Martin McFalls tells The Daily Herald of Everett that the Friday evening fire at the former Welco Lumber mill was mostly extinguished within a half hour. The roof on part of the mill collapsed during the blaze.

No injuries were reported. The cause is not yet known, but McFalls says there have been problems with transients breaking into the vacant building, and that small fires have been reported there previously.
