DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Tigers have placed outfielder Magglio Ordonez and second baseman Carlos Guillen on the 15-day disabled list.

Ordonez fractured his right ankle in Saturday night’s 3-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, when Guillen strained his right calf in the fifth inning.

Detroit also purchased the contracts of first baseman-third baseman Jeff Larish and infielder Will Rhymes from Triple-A Toledo on Sunday and released right-handed pitcher Billy Buckner and designated the contract of right-hander Casey Fien for assignment.
