CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago White Sox have put third baseman Mark Teahen on the 15-day disabled list with a broken right middle finger and called up infielder Brent Lillibridge from Triple-A Charlotte.

Teahen injured his finger while fielding a grounder in Sunday’s win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He is hitting .255 with three home runs and 14 RBIs.

Lillibridge was hitting .270 with four home runs and 16 RBIs for Charlotte. He also had 19 stolen bases.

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen says he will platoon Omar Vizquel and Jayson Nix at third base. Vizquel was in Tuesday night’s lineup against Texas.
