MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — A man who killed another man in Burlington after a bar fight was sentenced Wednesday in Mount Vernon to more than 16 years in prison.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports 30-year-old Luis Ugalde pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last month in return for prosecutors dropping a weapons charge.

Skagit County prosecutors say Ugalde was in a car with two other people when he shot 34-year-old Walter Villanueva in another car in June of last year, following the bar fight.
