CHICAGO (AP) — Texas Rangers right-hander Tommy Hunter is scheduled to make his first start of the season against Tampa Bay on Saturday.
Manager Ron Washington says Hunter, a nine-game winner last season, is ready to rejoin the club after being slowed in spring training with a left oblique strain and sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
He replaces left-hander Derek Holland, who went on the 15-day disabled Tuesday with mild inflammation in his left rotator cuff.
