SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A man pleaded guilty in Spokane Wednesday to raping a woman he met at a church function.

The Spokesman-Review reports 20-year-old Adric T. Watson pleaded guilty to third-degree rape in an agreement with prosecutors who had charged him with second-degree rape.

Under the deal, he’s expecting a six-month term when he’s sentenced July 10. With credit for time served he’ll only have one month left in jail.

Prosecutors say Watson gave sleeping pills to a 19-year-old who had denied his advances at a Nov. 14 event organized by Lighthouse Ministries. When she awoke the next day she realized she had been raped.
