SEATTLE (AP) — An employee of the Seattle water taxi has been accused of stealing $7,500 in cash and fare collection containers.

King County says the employee was arrested Saturday after six fare collection boxes were found at his home. They had been taken from the King County Marine Division office.

County Executive Dow Constantine ordered a review Wednesday of how the water taxi handles fares.

The water taxi connects downtown Seattle with West Seattle on a 10-minute ride across Elliott Bay.
