MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — State officials have issued a landslide warning for southern Oregon.

Stream flows on the Rogue and Applegate rivers are expected to rise over the next few days as a series of storms move across the region.

The state Department of Geology and Mineral Industries warned that debris flows could occur in narrow canyons and at the base of steep hills.

The first storm arrived in Medford Wednesday afternoon, and forecasters expect a second storm to arrive late Thursday.
