FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Alex Mejia drove in four runs to lead Arizona to a 10-9 victory over Baylor in the opening game of Fort Worth Regional on Friday.

Trailing 10-4, Baylor (34-23) scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning before Bryce Bandilla got Raynor Campbell to hit a fly ball to end the game with two runners on base.

The Wildcats (34-22) took advantage of three Baylor errors to score five unearned runs in the sixth inning and take an 8-4 lead. Arizona had just two hits in the inning, including freshman Mejia’s two-run double. The ninth batter in Arizona’s lineup went 3 for 4 and also drove in runs with a grounder in the seventh and a single in the ninth.

Gregg Glime drove in three runs for the Bears with a home run, single and groundout.
