LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg (AP) — German cyclist Patrik Sinkewitz, who served a one-year ban after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, is convinced his sport has changed.

Sinkewitz says “cycling has changed a lot and I will try to achieve something before retiring.”

The 29-year-old signed a one-year contract with ISD-Neri last month and rode his first race with the Italian team this week at the ongoing Tour of Luxembourg.

Sinkewitz tested positive for testosterone in an out-of-competition test before the 2007 Tour de France.
