COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina used a six-run sixth inning to notch its third come-from-behind victory in three games and win the Columbia Regional by beating Virginia Tech 10-2 on Sunday night.

Jose Mata pitched 4 1-3 innings of scoreless relief for the Gamecocks (46-15), who will play either Coastal Carolina or the College of Charleston in the super regionals next weekend.

South Carolina trailed 2-0 after Steve Domecus’ two-run homer in the first inning for Virginia Tech (40-22). But South Carolina tied it in the fifth before taking the lead in the sixth.

The Gamecocks got consecutive two-out RBI singles from Scott Wingo, Evan Marzilli and Whit Merrifield before Jackie Bradley Jr.’s three-run homer. Adrian Morales added a home run in the seventh.
