LOS ANGELES (AP) — The president of the Los Angeles Sparks has resigned.
The team said Tuesday that Kristin Bernert has quit to pursue other opportunities. She joined the team in October 2008 after three years as vice president of business development at the WNBA’s league office in New York.
The Sparks say they’re already seeking a replacement.
Bernert’s resignation comes at a time when the team has a 1-6 record going into Tuesday night’s home game against Phoenix.
