FELIDA — State regulators have recognized the Salmon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant for perfect compliance in 2009 with laws and regulations safeguarding the environment.

It marks the third year in a row that the state Department of Ecology has recognized the plant in Felida and the tenth time since Ecology started the award in 1995. The plant passed all environmental tests, analyzed all water samples, turned in all state-required reports on time and finished the year without any permit violations, such as sewage spills.

The state recognized 87 plants for perfect compliance in 2009 out of about 300 across the state.
