ISSAQUAH, Wash. (AP) — Costco says it has collected enough signatures at its stores to put an initiative on the November ballot in Washington to open up liquor sales.

Initiative 1100 would take the state out of the liquor store business and allow stores that sell beer and win to also sell liquor.

Opponents say state regulations minimize alcohol abuse and related problems.
